Learn to Code With Edison

Want to get into programming, but don't know where to start?

Join us for a series of hands-on programming sessions with EdScratch!

This series of 8 free sessions will help you get to grips with the fundamentals of programming. You will be using a powerful block-based programming language and a programmable robot that is packed with sensors for you to utilise as you tackle problems and engineer your own solutions.

We have a series of sessions for kids, and another for adults:

Kids aged 8 - 13 years old are welcome to register for the 4-5pm sessions (Wednesdays at Cambridge, Fridays at Te Awamutu). A parent, guardian or responsible adult must remain onsite for the duration of these sessions.

Anyone aged between 14 and 140 years old is welcome to register for the 5.30-6.30 sessions (Wednesdays at Cambridge, Fridays at Te Awamutu).

Registrations are currently open for the May-June series!

If you are keen, please email Joe with the following details:

  • The name of the attendee
  • The age of the attendee
  • Which series you wish to attend (Cambridge on Wednesday or Te Awamutu on Friday)

I will get in touch to confirm availability for your selected session.

Dates for upcoming series:

Start on Wednesday 30th of April for Cambridge, ending on the 25th of June.

Start on Friday 9th of May for Te Awamutu, ending on the 27th of June.

Both series are 8 sessions long, but due to the Mystery in the Library event on the 14th of May, Cambridge will be starting a week earlier with a 1-week break planned on the 14th of May.

This little joke will make sense to you in no time!
