Family history is an important part of who we are. The more we learn about our families and whanau, the more we learn about ourselves. It's never too early to learn about your family history, and it is also just as important to record your thoughts today, as in time they will become a record for future generations.
Family and local history is also now an important part of the New Zealand curriculum.
Over the next short while we will be posting pages from our Family History for Children Introductory Workbook which was made available to children who attended the ancestry month event on 10 August 2021.
