Petra has returned to Victoria to help her parents turnaround the local Art Gallery. On a night out she runs into her old childhood crush, Sawyer, by chance. Sawyer just happens to have been the best friend of her late brother. Sawyer is a former AFL superstar who was injured during a game, but has now gone on to become a billionaire. From the outset you get the feeling that Sawyer has feelings for Petra too.
A misunderstanding leads to photos of them in a mock proposal circulating in the media. They decide to play along with the 'fake engagement' giving Petra some much-needed publicity for the gallery. Living together as "fiancés" throws them into close quarters, igniting buried feelings that complicate their charade which actually becomes a reality - though that being said, not until after a few hiccups!
An easy and enjoyable read.
