Te Awamutu Library’s 150 years celebration!

This year our Te Awamutu Library celebrates 150 years of service.

On the 25th August 1874 the first public library opened for service in Te Awamutu with 17 subscribers.

To help celebrate we invite you to come to the library on Saturday 24th August.

Try your hand at some old fashioned games from 9.30am and then stick around for a cake cutting at 10am.

There will be areas in the library where children can do some library themed colouring in and create a book mark.
A story time session will also be held in the library at 11am.
